HAPPY BRETT FAVRE DAY!!!!
God, I love this man.
I've ALWAYS been an Eagles fan. ALWAYS. I was a huge baseball fan when I was a little girl, and as I grew up and was in high school I started to get into footall.
For a long time, two of my favorite players on the Eagles were Reggie White and Jerome Brown. When Reggie went to the Packers in the early 90's, I started getting into the Packers, even though my heart still belonged to the Eagles. Coincidentally, around the same time, a legend was born. Brett Favre. Not only a complete hottie (come on, I'm a girl, I'm supposed to go on and on about how hot he is, and that is one mothafuckin HOT man), he has grown into one of the best QB's of all time.
He is playing his 200th game tonight, and the Governor proclaimed it "Brett Favre Day." And it's well-deserved. The guy has been through soooooo much tragedy in just the last year or so, and the courage, maturity and strength he shows on and off the field is an example we all can follow. He's had some rough times, and has made some mistakes. We all have. But, he persevered and overcame his weaknesses and became the majestic wonder he is today. He is an inspiration, and he's from Mississippi, as is my mom, so he's got that cute southern accent to boot.
ROCK ON, BRETT!!!
This Friday morning I am going home to Philly to spend some time with my folks, and I was lucky enough to swing a ticket for the Green Bay/Eagles game this Sunday. While I publicly root for the Eagles and wish a big ass-whoopin to the mighty Favre, a little bit of my heart will secretly be with the Brettster.
Did I mention he is FUCKING HOT!!!!!

Governor Proclaims Monday 'Brett Favre' Day In Wisconsin
Packers' Quarterback Starts In His 200th Consecutive NFL Regular Season Game, A League Record For Quarterbacks
Governor Jim Doyle proclaims Monday as "Brett Favre" Day in Wisconsin in honor of the quarterback's 200th consecutive start in a NFL game on Monday against the Saint Louis Rams at Lambeau Field in Green Bay. This is a league record for NFL quarterbacks."
On Monday, Brett Favre will mark yet another milestone in a remarkable career with the Green Bay Packers," Governor Doyle said. "Breaking this record is a testament to the determination and perseverance that Brett Favre shows on and off the field. Wisconsin is proud of all of the contributions he has made to the game of football, and to our state."
Brett Favre is the NFL's only three-time MVP, and is in his 13th season at Green Bay, which is more than any other player or coach. Among his many career accomplishments are throwing for at least one touchdown pass in 35 consecutive games - a franchise record and the second-longest streak in league history, and being the third quarterback in league history with 4,000 plus career completions.
Additionally, with the establishment of the "Brett Favre Fourward Foundation" in 1996 and events such as an annual golf tournament, celebrity softball game, and fundraising dinners, Brett Favre has donated in excess of $1.5 million to charities in his home state of Mississippi as well as Wisconsin.
