How many bags does a bag lady make?
I really need to know, because if my 'coolness status' is going to head down the shitter I need to.... well stop it!
I carry everything around with me but the fucking kitchen sink, and if I could find a bag it'd fit in, I'd schlepp that along too.
This is what I carry to work with me every day:
1. My backpack. It has so much miscellaneous shit in it I don't even know where to begin:
(a) My various vitamins and drugs (Advil, aspirin, sinus medicine, and the like);
(b) All my bills and other miscellaneous mail, just in case I decide to pay attention to it that day - hey, it could happen!;
(c) Digital camera (don't why I've added that to the list of shit I carry around, but I usually take pictures of the 'office dogs' that are around that day, or just in case I see something cool - after Mt. St. Helens blew up that day a few weeks ago on the one day I didn't have it with me, was when this new addition to my bag was born;
(d) An assortment of post-its, pens and flags, well, really for no other reason than I don't have anywhere else to put them;
etc
etc
etc
2. My purse - I've even downsized that one, I used to carry around one of those huge monster bags; but, since I got that trusty backpack, I now can carry a slightly smaller one!!! :op
3. My gym bag - of course, it's stuff to the gills. I don't just bring one set of workout clothes, I have about 6 shorts, 10 shirts, 3 pair of extra socks, couple hand towels, 2 sets of headphones, deodorant, etc.... if I get stranded at the gym by a sudden snowstorm, just think I'll be able to work out in a fresh outfit for a week straight! :op
4. I usually have a plastic bag (or three - I'm not kidding) full of that day's food items - ya know, snacks, lunch, a few more snacks (why do you think I work out like a fiend, with an appetite like mine I have to!)... I have roommates and they hog the fridge :op, so I usually keep a lot of stuff in the refrigerator at work.
Then there's my water bottle (which of course can't fit in any of the other bags, they're to full geez keep up here! ;op), my travel coffee mug (hey I have SOME sense, I leave that in the car!).....
So, I guess I'm officially a bag lady. This is probably what I'll look like in 20 years:
Good excuse to go grab another beer!
