Welcome To My World
Ya know, I remember asking my mom years ago, when I was barely a teenager, what in the holy hell (ok I didn’t say it THAT way, but you get the picture) a fax machine was. At the time, she was working in an office after my dad had to retire early for health reasons. Now, many years later, I’m sorry I ever asked that question. I fax my brains out on a daily basis and am a little slow to embrace all this new technology that enters our lives at warp speed. Shit, my first ‘stereo’ was an 8-track tape player for God’s sake!
Then comes the BLOG. First off, the word "blog" is really not a word that screams "ear delicious." (If you watch American Idol, and yes, I’m ashamed to admit it but I do, sue my ass if you don’t like it - you know what I mean.) I first heard this not-so-harmonious word from my best friend, a guy I work with and have been buddies with since I moved out to Portland from Philadelphia. The question was the same; however, the way I asked it had changed a bit. "What the F**K is a blog?" I asked him. Now, months later, I find myself here, creating one myself and having no idea what to do with it. I’ve always enjoyed writing, so I figured what the hell, I’ll give it a shot. I can’t tell you what to expect, just expect the unexpected. They say it's all about 'baby steps,' but I tend to just take a flying leap, so here goes!
